Day 22: Generators

Hi again,
This post is for yesterday and after the power went out, my dad hooked up the generator which is enough to power the basic stuff like water so we can flush the toilets and wash our hands and the freezers and fridge and some lights that we are not in the dark. I am sooooo extremely thankful for that generator and it gives us the ability to flush the toilet and wash our hands!!! That is probably the biggest thing for me. lol I am able to go camping and use outhouses and all that but it is different in a house to not have plumbing. I don't want to share too much information so I will leave it at that. lol I also appreciate being able to wash my hands because we have pets and I like to wash my hands between touching them and eating food and so on. Also the microwave is another important item to have power and the generator makes that possible! I feel like I am sounding spoiled for feeling the want to have these "necessities". I am sort of spoiled to have the ability to have this even during a power outage and all the other things I have when the power isn't off. Spoiled in the sense that so many don't even have power at any time or clean water like I have mentioned in previous posts. I do try not to take any of it for granted but it is difficult sometimes to be aware of all that we do have when we are running around in our busy lives. But aside from that-I am so thankful for that generator!!! I remember when we got it yrs ago and it has been well used since. For some reason we have alot of instances where the power goes out. lol
