Day 288: a good crop of berries

Hello again,
This post is for yesterday because I was unable to post. For this post I am thankful for a good crop of berries. This year our fruit trees are producing a large amount of fruit and the berries are absolutely huge. I was picking saskatoons and they are almost as big as blueberries! I am not kidding at all. I don't think I have ever seen such beautiful saskatoons ever. It isn't just the saskatoons though-our honeyberries and raspberries and strawberries look amazing too. I suppose I have to be thankful for the rain then because I think the rain played a big part in the size of the berries. It seems as though the rain fell at the perfect time to help produce large juicy berries. I would have loved more sunshine but when I see the berries I feel like I don't mind so much. There is a positive in all the rain we had. :) We are freezing alot of the berries we have picked so we can eat them through out the next year if they last that long! lol The strawberries will last because we get several pounds each year now and we are still working on finishing last year's strawberries. lol We also have over 100 strawberry plants. I am very thankful for the size of the fruit though because it equals more fruit to eat. It definitely makes it more worth it to pick the fruit. They also taste much better as well in my opinion. For these reasons I am thankful for the good crop of berries.
