Hello again,
Today I am thankful for the stars and being able to see the stars. Ever since I can remember, I have had a fascination with the stars in the sky. Going outside at night and looking up to see all the millions of stars was and still is a lot of fun. I remember some nights I have gone outside where it has been so incredibly clear and the view just about takes my breath away. There is something so beautiful about all those stars up there. I also learned a few years ago that during the middle of the night there is a time when it is spectacular-more so than any other time of the night. I sometimes get up about 3am because I get hungry and one night I looked out the window and just couldn't believe how many stars were in the sky. I actually stepped outside for a better look and my jaw dropped. You know that moment where something is so beautiful and it litterally takes your breath away? Or if you are like me then you almost fall over because you are still walking and you notice it and don't watch where you are going and run in to something. It was seriously that beautiful. I am thankful for the stars because they are just so beautiful and when I see something beautiful I smile and it feels nice. It is simple really. There are not multiple reasons why I am thankful for this and there doesn't have to be. So this is why I am thankful for the stars.
I am beginning a project where I find something to be thankful for each day for one year. Please join me in my journey!

Day 340:Fly swatters
Hello again,
I am thankful for fly swatters because they work a lot better than rolled up newspaper. When there is a fly I definitely prefer using a swatter over trying to find something to roll up and hit it with. Plus you don't get fly guts all over your newspaper. I have to admit this is all I have today. It has been a rough day but even though this is something small-I am still thankful for it. Thanks for reading my blog and hopefully understanding that some days are more difficult than others. There are many things I am thankful for today but this is all I can come up with that I have not posted about yet. Fly swatters really do work better and I am very thankful for that. :)

Day 339: getting caught up
Hello again,
First and formost I am thankful for getting caught up because it feels great! The reason this came to mind obviously is because I have been attempting to get caught up on my blog. I love that moment that I switch from being behind to being caught up on something whether it's paper work or cleaning or my blog. That feeling of accomplishment that I have finally finished catching up and there is no more left to do. If you feel stress from being behind-then the stress is all of a sudden gone and a weight is lifted. Plus if you are a list maker like me-you get to cross something off the list which always feels great! Plus I have one less thing hanging over my head that I need to deal with. I should mention I don't fall behind on purpose so I can catch up and feel good because it also feels good to not be behind in the first place. But we can't always keep up to stuff that we need to do. I do love the sense of accomplishment and the feeling that I conquered a big task (when it is big). With my blog I feel good that I am finally caught up and I don't need to do double posts anymore... unless I fall behind again. I wish I could have kept up with it but things happen. I just hope that I don't have to go through any more hospital stays that I fall behind again. I will cross the bridge when/if I come to it though. Anyways, these are the reasons I am thankful for getting caught up.

Day 338: my comfy clothes
Hello again
This post is for yesterday because I was busy catching up and didn't get to this one. Hopefully that makes sense. When I first started thinking about what to write I was trying to think what happened yesterday and of course the beatles song pops in my head. lol It's funny to me how I say a word and a song pops in my head. Anyways for this post I am thankful for my comfy clothes. I think a lot of people have them-the ones you love to wear when you are at home and you don't need to worry about looking great. I have well worn in jeans I love and a really comfy hoodie. plus a shirt of course. lol they are the clothes I love to wear around the house and curl up in. I like looking good but when I come home I like to change into my comfy clothes as soon as possible. They are worn in and soft and feel nice to wear. Some people like sweat pants or pajamas or what ever. They fit me just nice and they are comfortable. They look presentable as well which is a plus! I feel at ease too somehow like I don't have to worry about staying clean or not spilling on them because it isn't that big of a deal if I do. My movements are not restricted either like some clothes tend to do. For these reasons I am thankful for my comfy clothes.

Day 337: Inspiring quotes
Hello again,
This post is for yesterday because I was busy catching up on previous posts. This one is really simple. I am thankful for inspiring quotes because they.... you guessed it... inspire me. I have a lot that I love but some stick with me more than others. The top one I think that I think about lots is "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's learning how to dance in the rain." I think I am finally applying it to my life. For me, I am learning to accept the pain I deal with and be happy despite the pain. Just because we are in pain does not mean we can't enjoy ourselves. Or as the quote goes- we can still have fun even during the storms. It isn't easy sometimes but it is well worth it! Another quote I love is "Fairy Tales are more than true; not because they tell us dragons exist but because they tell us dragons can be beaten." GK Chesterton. This one reminds me that I can beat what ever dragon I am facing and to continue fighting. There is also this one as well "Life isn't about the amount of breaths you take but the moments that take your breath away" We don't have to have a long life to have a good life. There are so many more but for now these are what stand out in my mind. Inspirational quotes inspire me to continue when I feel ready to quit. Some may feel the quotes I listed are not really inspirational but they are to me and I think that is what matters. They encourage me to continue or to better my life or remind me that I can get through the tough stuff. For these reasons I am thankful for inspirational quotes.

Day 336: Elevators
Hello again,
This post is for Sunday Sept. 25 because I was unable to post. The biggest reason I am thankful for elevators is that it saves time when you have to go up like 10 flights of stairs. It also saves me from getting out of breath. :) I do prefer to take stairs when I can but some days my legs do not work the way I want them too and the elevator is a life saver. Other times when you have a bunch of stuff, it is easier to take an elevator than to attempt to lug it all up stairs. If you have a stroller or a wheel chair-elevators make all the difference. Some make me feel funny though if they jerk when they stop and start. You know the feeling-like you are still moving when you aren't. For some people, stairs just are not possible and elevators make it possible to move between floors. For these reasons I am thankful for elevators.

Day 335: Nailclippers
Hello again,
This post is for Saturday Sept. 24 because I was in the hospital and could not post. Nailclippers may seem odd to be thankful for but they are really so handy and do a way better job on nails than anything else. I have had times I do not have nail clippers and I try to be resourceful and use something else. I have yet to find something that works good. maybe I haven't tried the right stuff but for me-nail clippers are the best. Being without nail clippers when I need them reminds me how much I love them. On Saturday I was without nailclippers when I needed a pair and I was reminded how much I wished I had some. Nail clippers also work great when you are without scissors and need to open a bag or snip off a loose thread.. They work a lot better than teeth do. :) There are a few good uses for them other than nails. So I am thankful for nail clippers.

Day 334: first day of FALL!!!
Hello again,
This post is for Friday Sept.23-the first official day of fall!! Fall really does start before the first official day but I chose to be thankful for fall on the first official day. Fall is a bittersweet time for me as I have mentioned before but I do enjoy certain aspects of it. I am usually thankful that it is not as hot as summer although this year we never really got summer. This year we got summer heat during the unofficial beginning of fall which I loved. Once I get over mourning the end of summer, I enjoy the colours of the leaves as they turn colour and the days that start out with a bit of bite in the air but turn into warm fall afternoons. I don't like the first frost and what comes with that and I won't get in to that but I feel I must mention it somewhere. There are still parts of Fall I don't like and will never like. lol I also like that fall means we can start wrapping things up outside and not have to do any more weeding when winter comes around. I do enjoy taking my frustration out on weeds and doing stuff in the flower beds but I also enjoy some time off over the winter. I am thankful for the first day of fall because I love it I suppose. I am thankful for things that I love.

Day 333: Beautiful fall colours
Hello again,
Well this post is for last Thursday Sept. 22 and I find it amusing it was supposed to be post 333 on the 22 of Sept. lol lots of repetition. I have been looking forward to day 333 and wondered if the number 3 is considered an unlucky number or if it is just 13 that is unlucky? if 3 is unlucky then I imagine people who are superstitious may avoid this post. lol Anyways here it is.
For this post I am thankful for beautiful fall colours. I have been taking so many photos lately because the trees look so gorgous with all the rich colours as the leaves turn to gold and red and orange. There are so many beautiful colours and when the sun shines through the leaves, it almost takes my breath away. I am thankful to be able to see such beauty. It is just too bad that it lasts such a short time before the leaves fall to the ground and the trees become bare. If you haven't made time to take a walk outside and enjoy the beautiful colours that fall offers-I strongly encourage you to do that while you still can! Then when the leaves are off the trees it is fun to jump in the leaves. lol For this post I am thankful for the beautiful fall colours. Maybe I might post a few photos on here sometime soon too!

An apology for my absence
Hello again,
I have not been posting for a few days and would like to apologize for my absence. I have been dealing with some pain in my abdoman that actually led to me having to stay in the hospital for a couple of days. The rest of the time I have been attempting to catch up on rest and do what I can. I haven't been able to sit up much due to the pain I have been experiencing. But I haven't forgotten about my blog and I am not sure I can catch up all at once and I think it might take a few days. But I think I can manage. I guess this is one of those curve balls we all have to deal with in life right? I am not better yet and I am still unsure if I will have to go back in to the hospital but I will deal with it as it happens. If I dissapear again for a few days, it isn't because I have forgotten to write or have stopped writing but that I am just unable to post. I know there are a few people who read this blog and I thank you for taking the time to do so and I hope you will continue despite my inabillity to always post every day. Thanks for your understanding.

Day 332: keyboard shortcuts
Hello again,
Today I am thankful for keyboard shortcuts. I love them. I am not lazy-just like to be efficient with my time. lol It really does save time using the shortcuts. my favorites are ctrl x and ctrl c and ctrl v. Oh and another favorite - F5. I actually do not know many keyboard short cuts but the ones I know are ones I use a lot. I use more than the ones I have listed but I am just giving some examples of my favorites. Another useful shortcut is ctrl + shift + esc . That brings up task manager for those times when a program freezes and you have to "end task" through task manager. You can also do ctrl + Alt + delete as well and then click on task manager but like I said-I like to be efficient so I like to go to task manager directly. lol Anyways the reason why I am thankful for keyboard shortcuts is very simple-it saves time. This is why I am thankful for keyboard shortcuts.

Day 331: Learning to "dance in the rain"
Hello again,
Today I want to talk about something meaningful. You may be looking at the title and wondering what I mean so I would like to fill you in. There is a quote that I love and have been striving to personally achieve and it is "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain" I think on occasion that I have achieved this in certain circumstances but never fully as a lifestyle. So I have been trying to learn how to live this way-to be happy even during the "storms" of life. There will always be storms in life and we can't stop living while we wait for better weather so to speak. I have never stopped living when things are going bad but I have struggled to be thankful and upbeat during those times.
The major "storm" in my life as I have seen it is the chronic pain and the long painful recovery from surgeries that I have been dealing with. I have been struggling to be happy and to enjoy my day every day while I am in so much pain. It is easier to have a good day when the pain isn't so bad but when it gets really bad-it does affect me emotionally. But I have been working to change that. This project has been part of my attempt to change how I react to the physical pain.
The last couple of weeks I have noticed that I am finally starting to catch on. Last week in particular I noticed that I was in a lot of pain but I still found myself having a good day. I had a good day despite the pain I was in. I was able to be aware of and enjoy the good things through out the day and not miss them because I was depressed from the pain I was in. I have been noticing myself laughing more and not the fake laughing that I laugh but don't feel happy, but actually truly happy. I am learning to accept the pain I deal with and that it will always be there and it doesn't have to affect me emotionally. I am not saying it won't ever affect me because I know I will still become frustrated and depressed from time to time but I am able to "dance in the rain" most of the time. I can enjoy my life while I go through this "stuff". I am not saying I am now enjoying the pain because I very much don't and really dislike it strongly but I am just choosing to not let it ruin my day. I find that accepting the pain and not waiting for it to go away is a big help. I don't want to have a bad day every time I deal with pain because I have pain every day and then I will have a miserable life and I don't want that.
I think another big step is that I have to accept my limitations as well and stop pretending they don't exist because I just keep overdoing it and hurting myself and it does no one any favours. I have problems accepting limitations. I tell myself I am fine and convince myself I can do something and then I injure myself when I try to do it. I try to appear normal so people don't stare or wonder what is wrong with me. I try to fit in with other people so they will accept me and let me be their friend. But this has just caused me pain because I hurt myself doing stuff I shouldn't be doing. I also do stuff because I don't like to ask for help but that is another issue entirely. lol Anyways this is a bit off topic. Wow I am really sharing a lot tonight. I will probably regret posting some of this later. lol Anyways, I feel proud of myself that I am learning to "dance in the rain" and thankful for it because it makes my day so much more pleasent. It also makes me a much more pleasent person to be around too I think. lol I do like having good days. :) Thanks for reading my blog and for reading this post.

Day 330: Pictures that make me laugh
Hello again,
Today I am thankful for pictures that make me laugh. You know-the ones that you look at and they are so funny that you can't help but burst into laughter. You can't help but laugh no matter what mood you are in because the photos are so funny. I love the photos that I get by accident that are really funny because of the expressions on people's faces or what ever my cat happens to be doing the moment the camera takes the photo. Today I captured a photo like that and it makes me laugh. I don't know if it would make other people laugh as much but I will post it at the bottom. Maybe part of the reason it's funny to me is that it's apparently talk like a pirate day and he sort of looks like he is a pirate talking. lol just imagine the eye patch and him saying "Ahoy Matey" or "hardy har har". Anyways I was trying to get photos of my cat who was laying so cute and he decided to lick his mouth at the same time. I chuckle just thinking about it. These kinds of photos make me laugh which helps brighten my mood and I feel better. This is a very good thing of course. :) Well this is the simple reason why I am thankful for pictures that make me laugh. I hope the picture below makes you chuckle as well. I was sort of having fun with it in Adobe as well which is why the background was taken out. Feel free to add your own caption in the comment area as well. :)

Day 329: Ladders
Hello again,
Today I am very thankful for ladders. They get us that much higher when we are not tall enough to get where we need to be.... or want to be. They are a safe way to get higher up as well. The reason I thought about this today was that I really wanted to take a photo of a sunflower but it is about 10ft tall and I am not that tall. I had tried to stand on an over turned 5gallon pail but I still wasn't high enough to get the shot I wanted. So I found a ladder that I could take a photo straight on like I wanted to. If I didn't have a ladder then I would not have been able to take the photo I wanted. The sunflowers grew very tall this year. Ladders are useful for so many things and I am very thankful for all the times I have needed a ladder and have had one. There have been times I have tried to climb on stuff because I didn't have a ladder and it doesn't always go very well. It can be very painful when it doesn't go well. Ladders are usually sturdy too.... as long as you have them on a good flat surface. For these reasons I am thankful for ladders.

Day 328: Paper Shredders
Hello again,
Today I am thankful for paper shredders. There are times when we have sensitive stuff that we don't want to risk someone else getting a hold of it so we like to shred it. Things like old credit cards even go through our shredder so that is nice as well! At a time when identity theft seems to be so common, it is nice to be able to do all we can to protect sensitive information about ourselves. Without a paper shredder we would have to find other ways to destroy it and it would probably not be as efficient as the shredder is or as quick. I really appreciate having access to a shredder. I suppose I could train my cat to shred the paper but he might start shredding everything which would not be a good idea. lol This is why I am thankful for paper shredders.

Day 327: Michaels daily deal
Hello again,
Today I am extremely thankful for the Michaels daily deals that they have. I am thankful for it because today they had a deal on artist canvases and I have been considering getting back into painting for awhile now but needed a bit of a push to do so. Well seeing the deal on the canvases that made them affordable was the push I needed I suppose. This may seem odd but I am a bit apprehensive about painting again. I decided a week ago finally that yes I am going to try it again but I still haven't found time to sit down and get started. Painting was something I had to give up after I had the surgeries because I haven't been able to sit up long enough to really get anywhere with a painting. I could have got back into it already last year but I have been scared that I have lost the ability to paint. It has been 4yrs now since I last painted. I am hoping that it is still there because I actually didn't even start painting till I was in highschool. I had never picked up a brush before then and then one day I tried painting and it wasn't too bad. Of course I have spent my life drawing so I have some techniques from that I suppose. Anyways, the wrapped canvases are not cheap normally so to have the daily deal at Michaels today made me very excited. :) Maybe I can create a masterpiece! lol It was good timing to have this deal. Now I just have to sit my butt down and do it. lol This is why I am thankful for Michaels daily deals.

Day 326: hitting all green lights
Hello again,
This post is for yesterday because I was unable to post. Have you ever had a time where you go in to town and every light is green? I have had this very rarely but it has happened. More often when I get more green lights it is almost every light green or half the lights green. Then there are the times that you just squeak by as the green light turns yellow which is nice too. On occasion I experience getting practically every single light red and it is a great reminder how nice it is to be the one with the right of way. It really does make a difference in time if you happen to get more green lights or more red lights. I love getting the green lights when I am running late. lol It is just like this amazing thing to make up for my mistake of running a bit late. I never expect the lights to be all green though and I plan time for traffic and what not so I am not late so that if I don't get the traffic or red lights I am just a bit early which is never a bad thing.... except if I am going to the dentist which is somewhere I don't want to be. lol I don't want to look too eager to be there. lol It is so nice when I get lots of green lights-it makes me smile. It is like I am having a lucky streak or something. lol I also feel good when I arrive at my destination on time or early because I know I am not causing others to wait. I know everyone's time is important and it is a sign of respect to show up on time. So having mostly green lights and what not is nice because I don't run late and not feeling rushed and bad that I am late. So there are definite benefits to getting green lights. lol This is why I am thankful for green lights.

Day 325: Warranties
Hello again,
Today I am thankful for warranties. They are a life saver and they can save a lot of money! But I should be clear that while I am a fan of warranties, I am not a fan of extended warranties. Extended warranties are almost always a waste of money. Yet there are some products that it is useful for but I won't get in to that here. A month ago I bought a computer for a really good deal but I would like to say it was pretty much doa (dead on arrival) So my dad and I took it back explaining what was wrong with it. Future Shop was great because the computer has a warranty and Future Shop is great about exchanges and what not. So they got me another computer but they didn't have any more of the same model (because I got a refurb model) so they gave me a "similar" model. I actually ended up getting a good deal because the "similar" computer was better than the initial one I got. Of course they can't give me a worse computer than I paid for I guess and they didn't have a computer exactly the same size. It is pretty much identical but a bit bigger hard drive. Anyways, 3 weeks later the DVD drive quit which isn't much of a surprise because it never quite sounded right to begin with. So back to future Shop I go. Thankfully it is still under warranty and they could not fix it so I am now on computer number 3. lol Without a warranty I would have to keep buying a new computer. We take warranties for granted maybe but we could very well not have them as well. Can you imagine the cost if you had to get a new product every time instead of getting it fixed or replaced? I could barely afford one computer and there is no way I could afford 3. Anyways this is just something I have been thinking about. I hope I don't have to bring this one back. Fingers and toes crossed! lol Sorry for the length of this post but I wanted to explain my reasons and it's a bit of a long story. Hopefully this is the end of this story though.... for awhile at least.Well this is why I am thankful for warranties.

Day 324: The book of (even more) Awesome
Hello again,
This post is for yesterday because I was unable to post. For this post I am thankful for a specific book because it is really amazing and it has helped me see even more wonderful things in my life. It is called The Book of (even more) Awesome. The author lists a ton of things that are awesome and I love almost all of them. lol I will give you some examples. One is "Picking the fastest moving line at the grocery store" which is very much awesome! Also something to be grateful for!! Another great one is "Dropping your cell phone on the ground and then realizing it's totally fine" This is also something to be very grateful for!! I have actually dropped my phone and miraculously it is fine still. lol That is only 2 and there are so many! I highly recommend reading it because it reminds us of all the "awesome" things that happen in our day to day lives that we can be thankful for. This is why I am thankful for "The Book of (even more) Awesome"

Day 323: Clouds
Hello again,
Today I am thankful for clouds. The reason I am thankful for clouds today in particular is that it is that time of year where it can freeze and clouds keep the temperature from falling as much which decreases the chance of frost. Clear nights are not good if you do not want it to freeze. Also a few clouds make sunsets and sunrises so much more beautiful than if there are no clouds at all. Of course if there are so many clouds that you can not see the sun then it isn't very pretty. This is why I am thankful for clouds.

Day 322:Vegetables fresh from the garden
Hello again,
It seems hard to be thankful on a day like today. Or at least my feelings are mixed because something horrible happened 10yrs ago but so many lives were saved as well that could have been lost. It is sad how I don't even have to say that it is 9/11 and what that means. We have all been affected either directly or just from hearing the news and watching it all happen. 10 years ago today over 3,000 lives were lost. But this is still a blog about blessings and it is the dark days that we need to try even harder to remember the good in our lives. It is on the anniversaries of horrible events that we need to remind ourselves of the blessings or we will get dragged down. Yes it is important to remember the bad times but we need to be careful not to get stuck there. So if it is ok- I would like to share what I am thankful for today.
Today I am thankful for vegetables fresh from the garden. Right now the beans, carrots, potatoes, peas, tomatoes are all getting ready and eating them fresh from the garden is so amazing. :) I love it. You have not tasted fresh until you have picked it and ate it on the same day. It is especially wonderful when you have grown it yourself and you can really appreciate it. I love that I can have fresh vegetables from the garden and know what it tastes like. I am so grateful for that. So today I am thankful for vegetables fresh from the garden. :)

Day 321: Parkinson's Superwalk
Hello again,
Today I am quite thankful for the Parkinson's Superwalk that raises money for Parkinson's. My dad has Parkinson's so it is something that is very close to me in terms of how much it affects me and how much I care about finding a cure. He has had the disease for about 18yrs but is able to control the symptoms quite well with medication most of the time. We walk when we can and practically every year in the past 10yrs we have made it to the walk. We have missed a couple. I missed one more than the rest of my family because I was having surgery and then recovering from it. This year I managed to walk but not the whole way because I am still having difficulty going very far due to my back still not back to normal and I was also the volunteer photographer so it worked well to cut it a bit short. I walked most of it though. I wanted to be sure to be able to get photos of people coming back and passing the finish line. Since I still have difficulty walking very far due to my back I definitely used everything I had to get through the walk but it was very much worth it. :) I am glad and honoured to be able to do this and raise awareness and money that goes towards finding a cure. It can be very difficult at times watching my dad deal with the symptoms of Parkinson's and I wish so much I could make it better for him but I can't so I do what I can do. The walk is one way to help. I had fun playing photographer for a day. :) I want to do it as a career maybe eventually but I am no where near that yet so this was fun in the meantime. I hope the photos are ok. It was a lot of fun to be able to snap pictures and people knew I was taking photos for the walk and not some weird person taking everyone's photos. It was all in all a great day and I loved being able to contribute in what ever way I could. I love that there is a walk every year raising money and that there is hope that a cure can be found. I loved that there was such a great turn out as well and alot of money was raised. I also hope that in the future people won't have to live with the effects of Parkinson's. Thanks for reading my blog and this is why I am thankful for the Parkinson's super walk.

Day 320: Reusable bags
Hello again,
This post is for yesterday because I honestly got sidetracked and forgot. I have been really focused on the Parkinson's Superwalk and it was the night before and I had nothing else but it on my brain. lol Anyways for this post I am thankful for reusable bags. This seems like a no brainer that I should have thought about posting a long time ago already but I guess there has always been something else. I love reusable bags now that they are more uniform in size. I used to be a cashier years ago and loved people using reusable bags (because they are good for the environment) but hated the funny shaped ones that didn't fit in the bag wells or didn't stand up very well. There were a lot of bags that didn't have a nice flat bottom or were too big to fit on the bag wells and it was a bit of a headache to try to put stuff in them. Now they are much more uniform and have nice flat bottoms and stand up quite nicely on their own.
Almost every store seems to sell them and they are cheap as well when you consider the amount you use it. Some are made from recycled materials as well. Some stores will actually exchange bags once they have worn out with a new one at no extra charge. We have a lot of bags from Superstore and have had them for a few years and use them often and they have yet to show any signs of wear. We still get asked if they are bags we have purchased already. lol So we have come up with a strategy that we use bags from Walmart in Superstore and the other way around so there is no confusion. lol Yes I shop at Superstore and Walmart as well as any other store that has good prices.
Another great reason that I am thankful for reusable bags is that we don't have plastic bags piling up in the house. We have one of those bag ladies that you stuff with bags and it used to be that she would always be rather plump and bags were practically not fitting anymore because she was stuffed so full. Now she almost always has some room. :) Even with reusable bags we somehow have plastic bags entering the house.
I also love reusable bags because they are stronger than plastic bags. I hated the times where you are carrying stuff out to the car and the bag rips open and groceries end up all over the ground. Plastic is not designed to even last one use it seems. As you can see-I am very thankful for reusable bags and could go on but I won't. For these reasons (and many more not listed) I am thankful for reusable bags.

Day 319: being chosen to get a Kindle!
Hello again,
Today I have had one of the best days in quite awhile! I am a member of a website called Bzz Agent where you take part in campaigns that you get to try a product for free. Then you are supposed to tell people about your experience with the product and that you are a "bzz agent". Once you have done that, you tell bzz agent who you have talked to and your experience with the product and what you talked about with the people you talked to. One part of it is about promoting a product through word of mouth. Here is a quote from the bzz agent website about it because they explain it better than I do. lol. "You try products and services and share your honest opinions about them with people you know. Then you tell us about those conversations to help companies improve their products. That's it! There's no obligation, no nonsense and no pressure." It really is that simple-trust me! Of course you don't get invited to every campaign there is because you may not fit the demographic or what ever. Anyways they are doing something a bit different where they have products for campaigns and they have it open to people to tell them why we deserve to be part of the campaign. Then they choose the best for the campaign. I desperately wanted to be part of the kindle campaign because I have been wanting one for ages! So I submitted blog posts why I thought I deserve to be part of the Kindle campaign. This morning I got the email saying I got in!!! I now get a free kindle to try out and then I get to tell people about my experience and I am so excited about it! I love that I can have an impact on the products in the market. This is one way to do that. Plus I get products to keep! I am already bzzing with excitement. lol I truly can not wait!
I suppose I have done more promoting for bzz agent than I have explaining why I am thankful for getting chosen to get a kindle. lol I have been saving for awhile now but it is so very slow going because I don't have much money coming in. This way I can get a kindle without having to wait probably another year to save up enough. I can make use of it now and not wait. I have been doing alot of writing tonight so I am going to leave it at this. I apologize if this is not one of my better posts. Thanks for reading my blog. :)

Day 318: changing seasons
Hello again,
This post is for yesterday because I was unable to post. For this post I am thankful for the changing seasons. I have to admit that I do not initially like summer changing to fall-in fact I really hate it. I hate it because all my flowers freeze and die and the trees will lose their leaves and the thought of the beauty of summer fading is so sad. But then I see the colours of fall and I move from hating it to loving a new season with all it's glory. Fall is kind of neat in it's own way and while I hate saying good bye to summer, I also like saying hello to Fall. One season I continue to dislike is winter. I can't quite enjoy the cold. But I love that winter leads to spring and without winter, spring would not be nearly as beautiful. I suppose having change is nice and not just one long season where nothing really changes except a slight change in temperatures. I do enjoy the differences that each season offers... well almost every season. lol But Winter has the advantage of giving us all a break from weeding which I am grateful for. lol Oh plus the bugs are not around so I don't have to deal with spiders. hehe. Spring is when everything that has been asleep comes alive again and summer is when the long days provide lots of sunshine (usually) and fun. Fall is just magnificent with all the gorgeous colours. I love walking outside in the fall and just taking in the breathtaking view because it is so beautiful. Summer definitely has it's own beauty with all the flowers and I would love to keep that colour but then I would miss out on other stuff. It is also easier to take though when summer temperatures extend into September. :) I am loving the heat we are getting right now! Anyways this is why I love the changing seasons.

Day 317: Poetry
Hello again,
This post is for Tuesday because I have been unable to post. I actually didn't realize I was so far behind because I thought I posted on Tuesday which I did but I was posting for Monday. It got too late to catch up. I apologize. For this post I am thankful for Poetry. I am thankful for it because it is often so beautiful and rhythmic and I love listening to people reading it. I also love to read it as well. I suppose I should say I am thankful for good poetry because not all poetry is good. There is some really bad stuff out there. lol Poetry to me is an art form-a beautiful way to share thoughts and feelings that is more than just writing it down. I am thankful for it because it evokes emotion in me when I read good poetry. It leaves me feeling like I experienced something. I always find it so fascinating how grouping words together can become something so powerful and stir emotions so well. I have been told I write well (which may or may not be true) but I can write well and not be able to write poetry. Maybe I would be able to but I haven't had success with it yet. Poetry is more than just words that rhyme. Anyways I will leave it at this because I feel I am struggling to do it justice. I am thankful I have been able to experience good poetry.

Day 316: Labour Day long weekend
Hello again,
This post is for yesterday because I was unable to post. For this post I am thankful for the Labour Day long weekend. Long weekends are nice and with long weekends come long weekend sales. :) lol Also it is usually the last long weekend that it is possible for nice weather to go camping one last time if you are able. The next long weekend it is probably too cold to go camping unless we have some odd warm spell that we don't get snow for a long time. It is also a reminder that fall is coming and we should start planning stuff that needs to be done before it starts getting cool. The only downside to long weekends is that the week starts on Tuesday and I think it is Monday. lol But on the plus side you have a shorter work week. :) It is also a good day to give yourself a pat on the back for all the hard work you do (assuming you have worked hard I guess?). For these reasons I am thankful for the Labour Day long weekend.

Day 315: The Wii
Hello again,
Today I am thankful for the Wii. I don't go on it as much as I maybe should but I am thankful for the Wii fit because it helps me get moving on days I can't move around outside. It seems I only go on it during the fall and winter months and I have started on it again. lol I guess spring and summer it feels nice outside and I rather go outside for a walk or what ever I want to do. But it does give me an option when I don't feel like going outside due to the weather. It is rather fun as well. I got the Wii after my surgeries to have something to help me work on my balance and start moving around slowly to regain mobility. I got a bit carried away though sometimes and ended up hurting myself. So I found it is great as long as you are careful. I was surprised that you can actually get out of breath while using Wii Fit. There are different levels so you can be challenged what ever level you are at. There are lots of games you can buy for the wii but we haven't really bought many others for it. I have seen some neat games though to exercise your mind as well which would be neat. Maybe sometime in the future. Anyways for these reasons I am thankful for the Wii.

Day 314: My duvet
Hello again,
Today I am thankful for my duvet. This is not just any duvet but a duvet my mom made for me. We used to have sheep and we got a bunch of their wool made into batting and my mom made each of us a duvet with it. Wool duvets are absolutely amazing. I find they hold heat in well but you don't get too hot. I can use my duvet year round. The past few days I had to get it fixed because I got a rip in the fabric and I haven't had it and realized just how much I love it and I am thankful for it. I have been using blankets and a comforter and it is crazy how much of my body heat escapes. With the duvet-I use it year round and I never have to add any blankets on top or take any off. I feel so thankful also because of how costly these types of duvets are to buy in a store and I didn't have to pay that kind of money for it. For these reasons I am thankful for my duvet.

Day 313: email
Hello again,
Today I am thankful for email. I love email because I find it much less intrusive than a phone call. People can answer emails when they are able. With phones, we often feel the need to answer it despite being in the middle of something. Or if you don't answer it, it is still an annoying interruption to what ever you are doing. Of course phones have their place and I am thankful for them as well but email does too. Email is also much cheaper than phones if you are many miles apart because phoning gets pricey with long distance charges. I find I am able to be much more clear by gathering my thoughts and writing them down and being able to delete something if I find that it isn't maybe what I want to say. When you talk on the phone, you say something and it is out of your mouth and you can not take it back. With email you can think about what to say before writing it and sending it. I find emails are good because I can go back to them if I forget a point someone made or if we make plans to meet and I forget the time, it is easy to go back and reread the details. Unless you have a way to record phone calls, it is very difficult to go back to a previous conversation. Also when emailing I can think about what someone says before responding and think about what I will say before responding because sometimes I don't feel I have time to think about what they said and I have to say something back right away. I love talking in person and in some cases prefer it but there are times where email is better. You can send emails at 2am if you want to but you can't call someone at 2am. Well unless you have a really wonderful understanding friend. lol There are many reasons I like email and I am thankful for it. thanks for reading my blog. :)

Day 312: the tv still works
Hello again,
Today I am thankful that the tv still works without the digital converter box and the digital antenna that we were told we needed to be able to watch tv after it switched to digital. Today the signal switched to digital apparently even though it doesn't really look any different. Maybe with the digital converter box it would be much clearer? I really don't know about that but I do know that it still works and I am thankful for that and happy about that. It isn't that we watch that much tv but we can avoid having to hook up extra stuff which no one really has time for. Yes even something that will only "take a few minutes" is a difficult task to complete sometimes. Plus we don't have to spend almost 150.00 that the Future Shop guy said we would have to spend to be able to get a signal after the switch. lol For these reasons I am thankful the tv still works. :)
