Hello again,
This post is for yesterday because I honestly got sidetracked and forgot. I have been really focused on the Parkinson's Superwalk and it was the night before and I had nothing else but it on my brain. lol Anyways for this post I am thankful for reusable bags. This seems like a no brainer that I should have thought about posting a long time ago already but I guess there has always been something else. I love reusable bags now that they are more uniform in size. I used to be a cashier years ago and loved people using reusable bags (because they are good for the environment) but hated the funny shaped ones that didn't fit in the bag wells or didn't stand up very well. There were a lot of bags that didn't have a nice flat bottom or were too big to fit on the bag wells and it was a bit of a headache to try to put stuff in them. Now they are much more uniform and have nice flat bottoms and stand up quite nicely on their own.
Almost every store seems to sell them and they are cheap as well when you consider the amount you use it. Some are made from recycled materials as well. Some stores will actually exchange bags once they have worn out with a new one at no extra charge. We have a lot of bags from Superstore and have had them for a few years and use them often and they have yet to show any signs of wear. We still get asked if they are bags we have purchased already. lol So we have come up with a strategy that we use bags from Walmart in Superstore and the other way around so there is no confusion. lol Yes I shop at Superstore and Walmart as well as any other store that has good prices.
Another great reason that I am thankful for reusable bags is that we don't have plastic bags piling up in the house. We have one of those bag ladies that you stuff with bags and it used to be that she would always be rather plump and bags were practically not fitting anymore because she was stuffed so full. Now she almost always has some room. :) Even with reusable bags we somehow have plastic bags entering the house.
I also love reusable bags because they are stronger than plastic bags. I hated the times where you are carrying stuff out to the car and the bag rips open and groceries end up all over the ground. Plastic is not designed to even last one use it seems. As you can see-I am very thankful for reusable bags and could go on but I won't. For these reasons (and many more not listed) I am thankful for reusable bags.
