Day 49: Lists

Hi again,
This post is for Tuesday December 7 and on this day I was and still am thankful for Lists. Tuesday was not a fun day-I was really stressed and really behind on a lot of stuff and ready to pull out my hair. That was when I found my pad of paper I make lists on (I had packed it away when my floor was redone) and I wrote down everything I needed to do and it was on paper and it seemed less stressful but still quite stressful because it was very long. Still I am very thankful for the list because it helps me to feel I am accomplishing stuff as I cross items off the list and I feel better. When I can cross a task off the list, it helps me feel more like I can get stuff done and it is less daunting. So sometimes I write something simple on the list so I can get it done quickly and I can cross it off so I feel more able to keep going. I also love lists because I can prioritize what needs to be accomplished first and what can wait till later. Another reason lists work well for me is that I have a terrible memory and I am always forgetting what needs to be done and it makes it very hard to prioritize when I am forgetting what has to be done. lol Then I remember at very inoportune times what needs to be done and it can be frustrating. So I make lists. Then I don't have to deal with all these tasks that have to be done floating in my head and I get stressed because there seems to be a whole lot more that needs to be done than there actually is. I can look at my list and how ever long it is and know that there is an end.... at least till I add more tasks. lol So this is why I love lists. Now I should go to bed and get some rest... once I finish the other posts. :)
