Day 58: Snowflakes

Hi again,
Today I am thankful for snowflakes. This may seem odd so I will explain. :) Today it snowed a bit and I noticed the snowflakes were quite pretty so I grabbed my camera in an attempt to get a closeup photo. When I got the close ups (I took about 40 pictures in all) and I uploaded them, there were a few that were absolutely amazing and I noticed the detail in each snowflake was so intricate and beautiful. I never really knew snowflakes were quite that intricate and amazing and perfect. I have a new found appreciation for snowflakes. When I think about snow, I think about how cold it is and how it makes the roads yucky but I don't really think about the individual snowflakes. Today I did think about the snowflakes themselves and was amazed at how perfect and symmetrical each one is. I decided to share the best photo I got with other people who enjoyed it as well. It is neat how something so beautiful is formed on it's own up in the clouds above. I suppose a reason I am thankful for snowflakes is because I was able to enjoy something quite beautiful that I don't normally even think about and it made me smile. Anyways I thought it would be nice to post the photo on here as well since I have been rambling on about it. lol The actual size of the larger snowflake when it isn't magnified is probably only a couple millimetres so it is zoomed in alot. I hope you enjoy it and can enjoy it as much as I have. So this is why I am thankful for snowflakes.
